I. General

GXF series optical cross-connection cabinet has four models: GXF-A GXF-B GXF-C and GXF-D optical cross-connect cabinets. This series optical cross-connection cabinet is mainly made up of Stainless Steel or SMC case, fixing elements of the case frame, cable fixing and protective device, direct welding module, terminal module integrating welding and distributing, wiring duct and tail optical fiber coiling device. The distribution box is suitable for the connection, distribution and dispatching of outdoor link fiber cable and optical distribution cable.

 

II. Features

1. Large capacity: the maximum distribution capacity is 96-cores, 144-cores, 288-cores, and 576-cores four types of optical fiber cables, and the capacity of direct welding is single, 120-cores -240-cores, and 240-cores -480-cores ribbon optical fiber cables.

2. The cabinet adopts special high-strength corrosion-resistant materials, has good waterproof, anti-condensing, moisture resistance properties, and can stand various adverse effects caused by climate and environment.

3. The cabinet is equipped with horizontal wiring duct, and makes the optical cable layout more reasonable and tidy.

4. Adopts the terminal tray integrating welding and distributing. Welding and distributing are performed at the same level, which makes the operation convenient, reduces the length of ribbon tail fiber and lowers the cost.

5. The terminal module adopts the horizontal draw-out structure with 12 cores as a unit, each core can be drawn out separately, which makes it convenient to operate in distributing, and reduces the number of bends arising from the distributing of tail fiber.

6. The optical fiber splitter is structurally reasonable, the optical fiber cable core is sheathed with sleeve, and the fixing, grounding and other operation on optical fiber cable can be performed, without removing the optical fiber splitter.

III. Major Technical Requirements

1. Service conditions

Working temperature: ―5+40 (indoor), ―40+60 (outdoor)

Relative humidity: 85% (at +30) (indoor), 95% (at +40) (outdoor)

Atmospheric pressure: 70kPa106kPa

2. Technical indicators of optical fiber connector 

   (1) The insertion loss does not exceed 0.5dB.

   (2) Return loss: that of APC type is not less than 60dB, that of UPC is not less than 50dB, and that of PC type is not less than 40dB.

3. High-voltage protective grounding device

(1) Voltage withstand level

The voltage withstand level between the grounding device and the metal part of box is not less than 3000V (DC) within 1min.

(2) The high-voltage protective grounding is connected with the metallic strength member, metallic moisture-blocking layer and the armor layer in the optical cable, and the sectional area of ground wire exceeds 6mm2.

(3) Insulation resistance

The insulation resistance between the grounding device and the metal part of box is not less than 2×104mΩ,and the test voltage is DC500V.

4. Suitability requirements

   (1) The optical fiber cables shall conform to Standard GB/T7424 and GB/T11819.

 (2) The nominal operating wavelength is: 1310nm, 1550nm.

5. Mechanical strength

The cabinet appearance can stand at least 980N of pressure vertical to the appearance. After the cabinet door is opened, it can stand at least 200N pressure from the most outer end of the door.

6. Sealing performance

The cabinet is in locked state. The protection performance of indoor equipment can reach the requirements of IP53 as specified in GB4205, and that of outdoor type can reach the requirements of IP65 as specified in GB4208.

The external dimension of 72-cores-144-cores cables can be seen in Figure 1-1, their mounting dimension can be seen in Figure 1-2, the wall hung mounting can be seen in Figure 1-3, the external dimension of 288-cores cables can be seen in Figure 2-1, the external dimension of 576-cores cables can be seen in Figure 3-1, the base dimension can be seen in Figure 4, and the internal structure can be seen in Figure 5. 

VI. Packing and Marking

1.  Packing

All products from the company are packed with wooden box or carton. The products shall be covered with plastic bag before    they are encased into the wooden box or carton. The product certificate, operation instruction and packing list are put in the packing case.

2.  Marking

The products are marked with the company’s logo and model mark in the striking position. The surface of packed products shall indicate the company name and address, the product name, quantity, and the date of leaving the company, and shall be marked with the specification, model, volume, upward, moisture-proof, handle with care and other word as required.

VII. Storage and Transport

1.  Storage

The products with outer package shall be stored in the warehouse where the temperature is between 5+40, the relative humidity is less than 80%, the air is ventilating, and there is no acidic, alkali and other harmful gas. The vertical distance from the stored frame face (when the products are stored at the bottom) to the ground shall not be less than 300mm, and the vertical distance from the storing frame face (when the products are stored at the bottom) to the ground shall not be less than 300mm, and the distance from the stored products to the external wall shall not be less than 400mm.

2.   Transport

The packed products can meet the requirements of various means of transport, and can avoid direct exposing to rain and snow.

 

VIII. Parts List

The spare parts list prevails when the accessories and spare parts leave the factory.
